It's here to educate credit card consumers about how by American Express (AMEX) sharply cutting American Express card credit lines (allegedly without real merit or just cause) and treating Amex card-holders like "dirt" in other negative ways too, tends to lead consumers and business to serious financial difficulties and potentially filing bankruptcy as a result. That's attributable to the toxic combination of reduced spending power from their credit lines, combined with the lower credit limits causing their debt ratios to spike, which in-turn typically leads to a lower FICOŽ score and subsequently greater difficulties in getting new credit and loans approved, plus higher interest rates on home mortgages and much more costly financing or perhaps no availability at all for debt consolidation, home equity, personal loans or auto loans to many turned-down would-be borrowers... About the American Express consumer ripoff late charge and fee policies. This is what Amex is now doing, as extracted from an actual American Express billing statement: April 25 $35 40-day late payment fee. May 12 $38 returned payment fee. May 16 $295.00 60-day late payment fee. Wow! That's an amazingly high and excessive $367 in less than 3-weeks time. What a ripoff, especially that 60-day late charge, which appears to be something new, which we have never seen before. These new excessive fees imposed by AMEX on their cardholders are but one more reason out of many we can say it's now Official AmericanExpressSucks big-time!
